Levi advert


Denotation: 

In this advert it is showing a male who is quite fit wearing a pair of Levi jeans. Then he caries on in the video by diving into different pools in different peoples gardens. Next, he gets out of one pool and grabs a female and they both decide to dive off a diving board

connotation: 

The connotation would be to show that their jeans are long lasting and can go through the wash and still be in perfect condition and the impression they try to give the audience is that if you wear these jeans then you will be irresistible by females. Also the reason they got a quite healthy male is to create the impression that all males want to look like that.

Stella Artois advert denotation: This advert is showing a soldier that has just came back from a war and is injured. Next, the soldier asks the bartender for a Stella and the bartender gives him the beer but when another person asks for a Stella the bartender denies him by blocking up the pipe with his foot. connotation: The connotation would be that after hard work serving for your country you should have a Stella because it is the ultimate reward and that you deserve it. However, when the bartender blocks up the pipe for the other male it is suggesting that he doesn't deserve a Stella Artois because he hasn't done anything hard or important like the soldier.

The Joker review The Joker is one of the most well known villains from comic books to movies. The Joker's normal outfit is normally a purple suit because unlike most villains he doesn't care about his appearance because his face makes up for it, as it looks like he is always smiling that throws the audience off because you font know if he is serious or not. However, in this short clip of the hospital scene from the Dark Knight shows the Joker's psychotic side to him because he is wearing a woman's nurse outfit and doesn't care about his appearance as long he makes his point. His behavior in this clip is quite childish because when he goes to blow up the hospital he makes a 'boom' sound witch has childish connotations and could show that he is not mentally stable.

Lara Croft The character Lara Croft is from the game franchise known as Tomb Raider. The first Tomb raider game was released in 1996 and it has been a well known series even to its latest game 'Shadow of the Tomb Raider'. The Tomb Raider is about a women known as Lara Croft who goes treasure hunting in tombs to find out secrets that she wants to learn but keeping the artifacts in there original place. However, there is a group called Trinity who want to get the artifacts for themselves and take them from their place to either sell or take the artifacts so other explorers can't get them and learn from them. So Lara's job is to stop Trinity while following clues to the artifacts. The developers are Core Design, Crystal Dynamics, Nixxes Software, Ubisoft Milan, Eidos  Montréal .
